Welcome to Quickflash DIY!  We’ll be posting new blog entries of projects we’ve done in the past so you can learn from our past experience, our successes, and of course, our failures.

My wife and I have been married for over 30 years.  We started out as a young, naive, enthusiastic, energetic couple.  Now we’re older.  Not sure about the naive and enthusiastic parts, but maybe a bit less energy.  Just means we have to work smarter, not harder, right?

We’ve owned many houses, rented apartments, built 3 houses with builders, and have done countless numbers and varieties of DIY home improvement projects and crafts.  I am someone who loves to continually learn new things and skills.  I tend to get bored doing thing same things over and over, so I am always on the lookout for new interesting projects and hobbies to try.  Sometimes they turn out well, sometimes… not so much.  Live and learn.  I’ve dabbled in construction, electronics, electrical work, plumbing (not my fav), woodworking, welding, soldering, metalworking, jewelry-making, painting, laser etching, and lots more.  Over the years, my wife has put up with a lot.  “NOW what are you doing?” is her favorite phrase.

We’ll be posting our stories, hopefully along with photos, so that hopefully it will help you while planning your next project.

We’d love to hear from you.  Tell us what you liked about what we did, what tips you picked up, and if you have to, tell us what we did wrong.  🙂
