The two beadboard pieces for the backboard, were cut to 30″x7′ each. I measured where the security system would end up on the backboard and drilled a 3/8in hole to run the wires. I also measured the outlet location and cut out the opening with a Rotozip tool.
You may also notice the blue tape on the baseboard. I did that to mark where our studs are located. This came in handy to know where I would be able to fasten the bench parts for sturdiness. We anchored the beadboard in the correct location to use that as our anchor for the rest of the bench.
